About

Kiana is a Chinese-Venezuelan American illustrator having graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s in Studio Art, with an emphasis in Illustration and Design. She currently works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.

Through digital and analog mediums, she strives to portray the nonsensical and internal wonder-spaces that drive her creativity. She uses her work as a means of illustrating the subconscious reality she years for; whether it be through a state of mind or a physical truth. She is inspired by the ephemerality of human existence, and how it translates in the manner in which we choose to live.

Much of her work reflecting herself, she hopes to come to terms with her existence through beauty and lightheartedness. The purpose of her art to not only inspire reflection and expression in herself, but those who have decided to explore all realms of life.

Kiana has a deep love for cartoons and anime, books, webcomics, stationary, and pop music. She’ll occasionally go for a motorcycle ride when she’s in the mood to feel like the main character of a hilariously dramatic, coming-of-age movie.
